The U.S. Supreme Court Eliminated Our Republic In 2015 When A 5 To 4 Majority Issued An Opinion That The States May Not Discriminate On The Basis Of Cultural Identity Or Values

Posted on February 26, 2016 John Abood

Based upon a dubious application of our due process and equal protection clauses, a narrow majority of justices opined that there is a fundamental right to marriage within our U.S. Constitution. The essential opinion of the court majority states that, “[Due Process] extend(s) to certain personal choices central to individual dignity and autonomy, including intimate choices that define personal identity and beliefs.” It is our opinion that the court’s majority opinion eliminates our republic because The People are no longer able to make political cultural value decisions that will have a disparate impact on an individual or group. The four Supreme Court justices, in the minority, echo our concerns. “A lady asked Dr. Franklin: Well Doctor what have we got a republic or a monarchy. A republic replied the Doctor if you can keep it.” – Dr. James McHenry
