Brexit, and renewed sovereignty, is now completed. With regard to the European Union, a majority of the people in the United Kingdom voted to take back and retain a greater portion of their sovereignty. They voted for greater independence and they voted to step away from central European Union planning. The majority believe the European Union does not represent them and their cultural values.
As with any such vote, those in the minority are not happy with the outcome, but they understand this is how democracy works. Individuals will strive to secure and project their values.
There will be adjustments to the status quo but, over time, independence from the European Union by the United Kingdom will result in other countries and peoples wondering if they will be next to consider their level of sovereignty in a competitive world.
